McHenry Sportsman’s Club Newsletter (June 2009)

FINANCIAL STATUS - June was an OK month financially due primarily to weather issues.   Major expenses for the month: $8,800 for 1,008 cases of targets, $5,700 for three tons of shot, $2,000 for shells, lease payment of $1,500.

TRAP OPERATIONS - The Club threw 1,078 practice rounds in June.   Target costs were $2,791 in June.

  • Target costs for the load received June 24th declined somewhat from previous levels.
  • The Cub Cadet PTO clutch has failed a will need to be replaced.
  • We continue to have minor voice caller problems.

PROJECTS - Green squares were painted on Traps 2, 3 & 4, and yardage numbers applied by Mick Schacht and Greg Timm.

  • Mike Lunebach repaired the gas grill.
  • Club house was painted by Ted Beskow on 3 sides.   Ted is planning to put a 2nd coat on 2 sides.   He can use your help.

ATA SHOOT - (view results) Our annual ATA Buckle Shoot was held on June 28th.   Turnout was good with 47 singles and 33 handicap shooters.   The Club netted about $450 after prize, labor and target costs.

MEMBERSHIPS - Club membership is at 272 at the end of June.

NEXT CLUB MEETING - Saturday, August 1, 2009 at 5:00PM in the Club House.
